The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Working across the financial services, this firm is looking for 3 individuals to join in 3 different specialisms – Investment Banking, Accounting, and Trading. These are the most successful areas of the business, and the client base spans across London, the US, and Europe (mainly Germany, Italy, and France).
The firm has quickly grown to 60 heads in their London office, and they plan to open an office in the US in the coming years, providing the opportunity to relocate with the business if you wish.
The Benefits – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Starting salary of £28,000, rising with each promotion
- Industry leading commission structure with no threshold, and a sliding scale up to 45% (done on a quarterly basis, but paid out monthly)
- OTE in year one hitting £50k
- 2 month training programme delivered by the founders of the business – including classroom sessions, shadowing, and client/candidate meetings
- Internationally opportunities with over 30% of the client base being in the US
- Options to WFH 2 days per week after probation
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays
- Annual holiday incentive for consultants who hit their target – jet off to Dubai, Miami, Barbados, or South Africa!

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Building up your exclusive client base through cold calling/business development
- Understanding client offerings and hiring requirements
- Sourcing top talent through headhunting on LinkedIn and speaking with your network to get referrals
- Matching candidates with clients and managing the whole interview process
- Consistently working towards hitting and exceeding individual and team targets
- Building up your own network on LinkedIn through your personal brand
The Ideal Candidate – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Ideally you will have experience working in a sales or commercial role, either after education or alongside (part-time, internships, placement year etc.)
- Financially driven with the desire to earn well above your base salary
- Incredibly strong work ethic – not afraid to go the extra mile to be successful
- Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with a range of high-level individuals
- Naturally competitive with a background of competition in any area
