The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Working within the renewable energy markets, we are looking for people who have a passion for sustainability, as well as building a successful career for themselves. This firm specialises in sourcing the top talent within Engineering and Construction, within the Wind and Solar sectors.
They are a small business of 15 heads, and operate across the UK, France, Germany, and Belgium. This demonstrates how vast their reach is, not to mention the opportunity it offers for international travel and access to impressive organisations who are making a huge impact within sustainability.
You will learn directly from the top performers in the business, all of which are taking home over £80k annually after just 3 years in the company. If you’re looking for somewhere that you can make a difference, as well as progress, this is the one for you!
The Benefits – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Starting salary of £25k, rising with each promotion (regular salary reviews)
- Uncapped commission structure with no threshold (rising to 45%)
- Earning potential in year one of £50k, year two of £60k, year three of 70k+!
- Options to work from home one day per week after your probation period
- Ongoing training throughout your first 3-6 months to ensure you have all the tools needed to be successful
- Transparent progression, seeing your first promotion within 6-12 months, and ability to manage your own team within 3 years
- Regular company incentives, including quarterly meals out at Michelin Star restaurants, drinks at Sky Garden, and away trips to Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris etc.

- 25 days holiday + birthday off + 2 week office closure over Christmas/New Year period
The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Sitting in on client meetings to fully understand their offering and hiring requirements
- Maintaining excellent relationships with clients
- Sourcing candidates through headhunting, advertising, networking, and using the company database
- Interviewing candidates and shortlisting them for roles
- Preparing candidates for interviews and managing the overall process
- Ensuring feedback is delivered within 48 hours
- Closing offers and making deals (and earning commission!)
- Building an online brand by creating relevant content for your network
The Ideal Candidate – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Degree educated with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Experience working in an office environment and confident being on the phone
- Ideally you will speak a European language (French, German, Dutch) but this isn’t essential
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Driven to earn above your base salary and progress your skillset and career
