The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
If you’re looking to join a firm with excellent career progression, this is it! All members of the management team have progressed from a trainee, and the average tenure is 7 years. You will be working alongside an incredibly impressive team, who have all earnt over £50k in their first year. The directors of the business set up the company 10 years ago, as they wanted to build a more collaborative and socially responsible firm.
You will join the Financial Services desk and focus on sourcing the best C-suite talent across the Hedge Fund and Investment Banking markets. Your focus will be mainly UK based, but 20% of their client base is in the US, meaning you will have exposure to businesses abroad.
As the company is built off collaboration, the training and support is like no other. You will have a personal mentor who will help you with your day-to-day, as well as weekly coaching sessions from the partner of the business. The Benefits – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Starting salary of £26k, rising to £28k after 6 months
- Uncapped commission structure rising to 35%
- On target earnings in your first year of £60k+

The Role
- Business development to win new clients
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
- Sourcing candidates through headhunting, networking, and using the company database
- Managing the whole interview process and ensuring everyone is up to date with feedback
- Negotiating the best package for your candidate
- Building an online presence and personal brand
- Consistently updating the company database with past/passive candidates
- Closing deals and making commission!
The Ideal Candidate
- Recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment (sales, customer service, etc.)
- Competitive – shown through sports, debate, etc.
- Financially driven and looking to earn over a basic salary
- Confident speaking with a range of individuals both on and off the phone
