The Business – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Working across the FinTech space, you will specialise in sourcing the best Software Engineers for Hedge Funds across the world. With 50% of clients based in the US, 20% in the UK, and 30% in Europe, you will have incredible exposure to how different organisations are run, and access to some of the most impressive people globally.
The team have grown from 5 to 35 heads in just 4 years, and don’t have plans to slow down. They grow organically and want to promote from within, meaning 80% of their management team is built up from people who started out as a grad.

- Starting salary of £26k which rises to £30k after your first promotion
- Uncapped commission structure scaling to 35%
- OTE in year one exceeding £50k, year two hitting £70k, and year three reaching £100k+

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Conducting business development to win new clients
- Meeting clients to understand their hiring requirements and growth plans
- Sourcing excellent talent through your network and by headhunting on LinkedIn
- Interviewing candidates to understand their experience and wants for a new role
- Managing the end-to-end interview process from initial introduction to offer stage
- Negotiation of the contract to ensure your candidate is happy
- Maintaining relationships with clients and candidates and following any business leads
- Consistently working towards individual targets
- Keeping up to date with market trends so you can advise your network appropriately
The Ideal Candidate – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Financially driven
- Naturally competitive
- Experience working with clients or customers
- Go-getter with a positive attitude
- Confidence speaking with high-level stakeholders
