SALES-BASED ROLE – TRAINEE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

In this sales-based role, you will be doing your own business development by negotiating deals and contracts with clients and candidates. You have the ability to develop your network through building relationships and maintaining trust. You are entrusted with your own workload and can have complete autonomy over your decisions. As a trainee recruitment consultant, you will be on a base salary with a strong commission on top of this, allowing you to earn 100,000k within your first year once promoted.

Responsibilities of a Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilise various channels, including databases, social media, networking events, and job boards, to identify and attract top-tier sporty candidates.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills, experiences, and suitability for different sports-related roles.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with sports organisations, understanding their unique requirements, and delivering tailored recruitment solutions.
- Market Research: Keep up to date with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and sports business developments to provide valuable insights to clients and candidates.
- Matchmaking: Identify the perfect fit between candidates and clients, ensuring a positive and long-lasting placement for both parties.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced consultants, learning from their expertise, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
The Ideal Candidate as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Degree educated with a 2:2 or above OR sales experience (door knocking, cold calling, sales assistant)
- A good understanding of the recruitment industry
- Experience working in a client facing role alongside or after education (part-time, internships, placement year, full-time work)
- Hard-working and motivated, with evidence
- Competitive and ambitious
