Trainee Recruitment Consultant – The Company
As a Graduate Recruitment Consultant, you would be joining a young, social, and collaborative company. They were founded in 2015 and have grown to a business of 35 people in their London office and have plans to double in size over the next two years.
This company places candidates into banking, private equity, and investment positions (just to name a few), at junior, senior and director level. Working with these positions the deal sizes are HUGE, meaning that there is a lot of money to be made. One person who started at the business as a graduate just 2 years ago took home £45,000 in his first year and is on track to take home £75,000 after his second year.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant – The Role
- Winning new clients through cold-calling and sales
- Building and maintaining client relationships through attending client meetings
- Writing and posting job adverts onto job sites such as Reed, Milkround etc.
- Screening CV’s
- Interviewing candidates
- Preparing candidates for interviews, and general guidance through the interview process
- Making deals and getting your commission!
Trainee Recruitment Consultant – The Benefits/Why Recruitment
- Starting salary of £26k, rising to £30k after your first promotion
- Uncapped commission structure scaling to 40%
- Year 1 OTE: £45k, Year 2 OTE: £55k, Year 3 OTE: £70k+
- Ongoing training through your first 3 months at the business; including networking events, client meetings, candidate meetings, shadowing the leadership team, and on the job learning
- Transparent progression laid out from day one; first promotion within 6-9 months, second after 18months and options to grow out your own team between 2-4 years into your career (target based!)

The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of a 2:1 from a top 20 university
- Background in sales is desirable, however not essential (e.g., phone-based role, working with commission, working towards targets)
- Self-starter/can-do attitude
- Language speakers are desirable (German, French, Dutch)
- Resilient, determined, and ambitious
- Confident both on and off the phone
- Money-motivated
