Who is the COMPANY you will work for as a TRAINEE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT?
Working across the FinTech market you will partner with some of the most impressive firms and individuals across the UK and US. From day one, you will have access to the company’s extensive client base (built up of over 200 businesses), meaning there will be little need for business development to start out and you can hit the ground running.
The firm have different desks which specialise in different areas, one of which will become your niche; these areas are Clean Technology, Software Engineering, Trading, Cyber Security, and Quant Research. This shows the vast range of the business’s skillset, and just how much they’ve branched out.
They are also looking to open a Chicago office over the next 2 years, and will sponsor anyone who wishes to relocate with them to help build out this offering!
What are the BENEFITS of becoming a TRAINEE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT?
- Starting salary of £27k, rising with each promotion, as well as regular salary reviews to keep up with market conditions
- Uncapped commission structure rising to 40%, seeing you earn between £45k-£65k in your first year
- 3-month onboarding process, including 1-1 mentor sessions, classroom training and attending networking events/client meetings
- Transparent progression pathway from trainee to partner of the business (first promotion between 6-12 months)
- ‘Dress for your day’ dress code (very casual most days, but dress up for client meetings)
- Monthly competitions amongst the team with prizes to be won – half day on Friday, £100 gift voucher, meals out with the directors etc.
- Quarterly incentives for weekends away – hit your target and go to Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona for the weekend (on the company card!)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas closure (4 extra days off)
- Social team with regular outings – including Thursday/Friday pub trips, meals out, escape rooms, Flight club etc.
What is the ROLE of becoming a TRAINEE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT?
- Winning new clients through business development and building up your client base
- Understanding the requirements of your clients and sourcing candidates through headhunting on LinkedIn and using your network
- Shortlisting strong candidates for your clients and managing the end to end interview process
- Objection handling
- Negotiating the best contract for your candidates
- Following any business leads in terms of potential clients or candidates, as well as keeping in touch with your candidates after placement
- Building up an online brand on LinkedIn and creating content relevant to your network
The Requirements:
- Degree educated in any discipline
- Experience working in a client or customer facing role alongside education (part-time, placement year, internships etc.)
- Confident cold-calling business leaders and pitching your services
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Financial drive to earn over a basic salary
