The Company – Executive Search Consultant
The clearest route to being the best at what you do is specialising – this is exactly what this boutique Executive Search firm do, and it’s one of the reasons they are an award-winning business. All they do is place CFO’s into a range of sectors, and they are true experts at it.
They set up in 2018 and have quickly grown out their presence in the UK, Asia, and US market, with just under 30 heads in the business. They’re looking for two junior consultants to join the firm and learn from the best of the best.

The Benefits – Executive Search Consultant
- Starting salary of £32k, rising to £38k as a Senior Consultant
- £1k bonus for each candidate sourced that gets placed (average of 4-6 in your first year)
- Structured onboarding programme spanning 6-weeks (networking events, client meetings, classroom sessions, shadowing etc.)
- You will be partnered with one of the Senior Leadership Teams for your first 2-years in the business as a ‘mentor’
- Transparent progression – achievable target to hit for your first promotion to Senior Consultant (takes 6-18 months to hit)
- Opportunity to travel to meet with international clients and candidates
- Work from home 2 days per week, once through your probation period
- Flexible working hours provided when working the US or Asia markets
- 25 days holiday + birthday off + office closure over Christmas/New Year (5+ extra days)

The Role – Executive Search Consultant
- Sitting in on client meetings and fully understanding your clients as an organisation, what their offering is, and what their hiring requirements are
- Sourcing candidates through headhunting on LinkedIn – identifying the top talent, pitching your client, etc.
- Speaking with individuals to understand their experience and what they would be looking for in a new role
- Market mapping – understanding/researching who individuals are interviewing with, which firms are struggling, who the top players are etc.
- Shortlisting candidates for your clients, and preparing them for interviews
- Working closely with your Team Lead throughout the interview process
- Creating reports on the process
- Building your own online brand and creating content relevant to your network
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree educated with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Experience working in a commercial environment – internships, placement year, full-time work etc.
- Evidence of excellence – sports, academia, art, music, etc.
- Confident speaking with a range of high-level individuals
- Articulate and able to think on your feet
