The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Working across the technology market, you will have the chance to rotate on the different desks focusing on different areas. They are specialists within Data, Cloud, and Infrastructure, and cover the UK, US, and European markets. This offers amazing exposure to international businesses as well as the chance to relocate with the company if you choose.

You will work the senior candidate level – placing anywhere from a senior engineer to a CTO across the globe. This means that the salaries and fees you are working with will be on the higher end, leading to excellent earning potential (all consultants have earnt upwards of £45k in their first year).

You will also have a say in how you want your career to progress from the get-go. If you’re looking for independence and only want to focus on your own earnings, then there is a path for you, however, if you want to be more business focused and grow out your own team, there will be those options with dedicated training from the start.

• Uncapped commission from day one (scaling structure up to 40%) with earning potential of £55k in year one, £70k in year two, and £95k+ in year three!

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

• Business development – call businesses and pitch your services
• Candidate sourcing – headhunting, advertising, networking
• Admin – schedule meetings, prep for interviews, pass on feedback, negotiate contracts
• Relationship building – meeting clients and candidates regularly to understand their requirements, and following up once candidates have started a new job
• Brand building – creating content relevant to your market and posting on LinkedIn
• Hitting targets – reaching individual and team targets as well as exceeding them for other rewards!

The Requirements – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

There is no experience or specific degree that you need in order to start your career in recruitment (although a background in sales is a huge plus!). You simply need to be a hardworking individual with evidence of graft and success. Other qualities include:
