The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
This firm has worked within the Investment Banking and Hedge Fund space for the past 15 years, and are now well on their way to become a Hedge Fund specialist. They compete with the big names in the market, and 95% of the work they have done this year has been in the Hedge Fund space.
They are small, but mighty, and their developed training programme has helped two of the more junior members of the team take home £75k in their first year. You will work closely with one of these consultants, and have daily mentorship from them to aid your development in the role.

Benefits – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Starting salary of £25k, rising to £30k after your first promotion
- Uncapped commission structure, seeing you earn 25% of everything you bill
- OTE in year one of £60k, with top performers taking home £75k
- Mentorship from the company’s top performer, who billed £1m in her first year
- Dedicated training programme, including 20 modules and attending Hedge Fund networking events
- Steady career progression plan – seeing your first promotion within 9-12 months, and ability to lead a team within 2 years
- International reach, with the chance to travel to meet with global clients
- 1 day per week to work from home
- Early finishes on a Friday at 3pm

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Winning new clients through business development
- Attending client meetings and networking events to build relationships with clients
- Sourcing talent through headhunting passive candidates on LinkedIn
- Managing the end-to-end interview process
- Advising clients on market conditions
- Putting out marketing on social media
- Negotiation of candidate contracts – ensuring they are offered the right package
- Managing expectations of both clients and candidates, ensuring a consultative approach
Ideal Candidate – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Previous work experience in either a corporate setting, or in a sales role
- Financially driven and looking to earn over a basic salary
- Ambitious to build a successful career
- Competitive nature, with excellent problem solving skills
- Inquisitive and wanting to learn
