The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
This company has grown to a business of over 40 heads in just 5 years, and have no plans on slowing down. They are looking to add 5 new consultants to their technology team due to the demand from clients on roles to fill.
As a lot of the work they do is based in the US, the fees here are incredible. Most people are billing over £200k in their first year, and taking home over £40k in commission. With the opening of their new office in New York, you will also have the opportunity to relocate after 2 years service at the business.
They understand that everyone works differently, so they offer the chance for flexible working, including the chance to work from home 2 days per week.

- Basic starting salary of £26k, rising to £30k after your first promotion

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Business development to win new clients
- Attending client meetings to keep up to date on hiring criteria
- Sourcing candidates through headhunting, advertising, networking and using the company database
- Interviewing candidates and putting them forward for roles with your clients
- Preparing candidates for interviews
- Being the middleman in the process and ensuring you have feedback following interviews from both sides
- Negotiating the best package for your candidate
- Closing placements and earning commission
The Ideal Candidate – Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Degree educated with a 2:2 or above in any discipline (not essential)
- Background in sales is desirable, however not essential
- Hard working
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident speaking with a range of individuals both on and off the phone
- Resilient
