The Company – Legal Researcher
Our client focuses on IP/Patent and Legal and Compliance. They have two offices – one in London, one in Munich. These teams are very closely interlinked and work together to complete international searches. The main geographies they recruit into include European, Japan, and the US. This business is a family-run company and has an excellent reputation for its treatment of staff – the average tenure in this business is eight years.
The Role and You – Legal Researcher
Our client pitches their services to businesses to win retainers for C-Suite mandates. You would shadow consultants on these pitches, making notes, writing briefs, and preparing job descriptions.
Due to the caliber of candidate you are headhunting you will be required to do extensive research and market mapping to source suitable talent.
You would be involved in initial outreaches, screening candidates to assess their suitability, and preparing the candidate to shortlist with the guidance of a consultant.
Post shortlist stage you would act as a key middle person in the process between your client and your candidate. The role heavily involves negotiating on behalf of your candidate and ensuring a successful, stress-free career move.

The Candidate
To be suitable for this position candidates should possess most if not all of the following;
- Recently graduated from a top university with a 2:1 or above in a law-related degree
- Exceptional communication skills
- An additional European language is extremely beneficial but not a necessity
- Ability to work towards deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Team player who is also able to work independently
