Our client is a global leading Executive Search and Advisory firm based in St. James’s, they specialise in the talent acquisition of exceptional, executive and c-suite professionals across their global clientele.
They have offices in London, Singapore and New York, providing expert analysis & insight, forensic research, and advisory services across a wide variety of niches within Investment Management, Investment Banking, and Technology.
They’re looking for outgoing, ambitious, Finance graduates to enter the Autumn trainee program within the Investment Management team. Here graduates will become expert advisors and researchers within the IM team’s practice areas: Hedge Funds, Private Credit, Private Equity and Asset Management.

What you’ll be doing as a Trainee Research Consultant …
- Name identification – wide use of internal and external sources of information (database, directories, press etc)
- Phone research to identify candidates through calls to companies and individuals directly
- Update calls to ensure that the information obtained from the database is correct, switchboard checked and that any recent leavers and their whereabouts are identified
- Constantly seek to gain relevant factual information and qualitative third-party source comments on individuals we are tracking
- Developing skills through dedicated training
- Develop your own network and relationships
- Eventually manage your own client base and become a trusted advisor
- Network effectively and attend events
- Become an expert in your market
- Work collaboratively with the team
- From day one, you’ll be encouraged to cultivate relationships and business development skills via meetings, calls and written communication.
Trainee Research Consultant – What you’ll bring…
- A degree from a top 40 university, ideally a Finance degree, or with some finance focus
- Ability to demonstrate hunger for success, motivation and desire for professional development
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work
- Detail orientated & excellent communication skills, ability to confidently interact with and advise senior individuals
- Team orientated & collaborative
