The Company – Recruitment Consultant
Working within the financial markets, this business specialises in sourcing the best talent for the Hedge Fund and Investment Banking sectors. They work closely with their clients in the UK and US, and are fast becoming the main players in the market.
You will receive bespoke training from many sources; the Director who has over 20 years’ experience, the inhouse team, with over 12 years’ experience, and external trainers – this offers you all the tools needed to become an expert recruiter.
The Benefits – Recruitment Consultant
- Base salary of £27.5k, rising to £30k after 6 months at the company
- Ability to earn commission from day 1 with a structure rising to 30%
- Bespoke training from inhouse and external trainers
- Clear progression plan all the way to Director

The Role – Recruitment Consultant
- Researching and mapping the market
- Providing your team with reports
- Sourcing candidates through headhunting on LinkedIn
- Interviewing candidates and putting them forward for interviews with your candidates
- Preparing candidates for interviews
- Working as the middleman between candidate and client
- Negotiating the best package for your candidate
- Maintaining strong relationships with candidates
- Following up with any referrals
The Ideal Candidate – Recruitment Consultant
- Degree educated with a 2:1 or above in any discipline
- Background in sales or a fast-paced environment is ideal but not essential
- A brief understanding of the financial markets
- Evidence of hard work and success (e.g., academia, sports, extra-curriculars etc.)
- Team player
- Ambitious
- Self-motivated
